Flower in B&W
Well, not getting time to step out and take pictures... Resorting to house plants and flowers 🙂. Welcome your comments! Note, I recently bought a Z6 (as per Raaj's recommendation). Will try out the focus stacking feature on flower pictures next time 🙂

Of course you should try focus stacking to gain experience and discover what you like. For this image, I think it's nice that focus stacking was not used - the sharp-focus and soft-focused areas brings interest & attracts my attention to those areas that are most sharp. If everything in the image was perfectly in focus then it would lose much of its interest for my eyes.
Since this is the critique forum I will add two additional comments. One is that columnar thing about 1/3 the way over from the left. If there was a way to compose the shot without it then it would have been better. However if this was the only way to get this shot then go for it as you did. The other is the leaf popping up from the bottom lower left. It's ok to have stuff at the borders as long as it's balanced elsewhere. In this case it's not so it would be better to change the camera angle in a way that avoids that leaf.
Looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks for your comments. I didn't catch it till you called it out. Thanks
Beautiful tones. I agree with John's comments about the focus stacking and the white column in the background.
Apologies for being late to this party. Very nice, Shiv. You've already have some terrific feedback from the gang. One thing I'll mention is that I'm struck by the very graphic nature of both your images - graphic in the sense that in some areas, specially the flower petals, there is a dramatic shift and gap between the white and black. This could evolve into you "style' easily! 🙂
Let's see more!
Thanks for the comments. Super observation... I tried to reduce the highlight and was able to recover the gradient. Learning every day... 🙂
