Hi Raaj,  I like this one better that the other ones you posted that were darker.  Better contrast.

Best, Terry

I agree with Terry.  The lighter image provide greater detail, which enables me to see the nuances of the various surfaces.

Terry and Larry, thanks for your feedback.  Much appreciate your perspectives on this image.  The more I look at it, the more I dislike this image!  😀

I need to go back to PSCC, learn a few new techniques and try again.  Back to the drawing board... 🙂

Cheers!

I am wondering why you do not like the image?  I do think each surface could be significantly nuanced, but the building blocks of a fine image are there.  Think about your vision?

I like the tonality, the light transitions on each surface, the line and texture are what keeps my eyes moving throughout the image and visiting it more than once. I might add a vignette just to keep my eye from wandering of the page with the lighter panels. As far as not liking something? You have lousy taste. This is a very nice piece and you have given the points room to live and not cross over any panel. I'm sorry you are unhappy with this one. Get over it! 🙂

Raaj,

I really like this image. The composition is nicely balanced, and I like the main diagonal of dark tones running from upper left to lower right. In fact, I might emphasize that diagonal by lightening the lower left corner.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your considered comments.  I just wasn't happy with this version.

I am posting a new version that I am happier with but still not there.  I'll have to let this one sit for a couple days and come back.  Good news is that I'm learning a lot about PSCC... 🙂

Cheers!

Raaj - my eyeballs quite enjoy this image, constantly moving around the shapes, edges, tones, textures and light. My eye does wander back to the dark block in the upper left corner, as kind of the odd-man-out shape/tone - perhaps lightening it a bit would lessen its dominance.
