Recording Photoshop Menu Selections in Actions
As we all know, recording repetitive tasks in Photoshop in the form of Actions that can be run on demand is a powerful labor saving tool. However, if you want to record a Menu item selection in an Action, just going to that Menu item during the process of recording the action does not result in that Menu Item being captured in the Action!
To insert Menu Item selections in Actions, do the following:
1. Start Recording the Action, as usual
2. When you get to a point in the recording where you need to select the Menu Item, go the Menu at the right-hand top edge of the Panels Frame:
3. From that Menu, select the "Insert Menu Item..." item, which will open up the following dialog box:

Now with this dialog box open, go the Menu and select the Item from that Menu that you want to insert in the Action. Once you do this, click "OK" on the above Dialog box. Now the Menu Item will be recorded in your Action!
