Folks,

I know many of you use the Nik tools so I thought you might find this helpful.

The floating Nik Panel is a source of annoyance to me - it does not dock into the PS UI like the PS Tools do and it constantly gets in the way, especially when I am using my Wacom Cintiq Tablet.  There is no way to make it dock into the sides of PS, so there's a way to get rid of it until you need it, as closing it does not help - the next time PS starts up, it appears again.

In the Nik panel, click "Settings" in the bottom left:

Selective_Tool_and__0011293_psd___33_3___Background_copy_2__RGB_16__

Then in the window that opens, choose "Do not open the Selective Tool" and then click "OK" at the bottom.

Settings__and__0011293_psd___33_3___Background_copy_2__RGB_16__

Now, the next time PS opens, that annoying panel will not automatically open.

To bring up the panel at any time, do the following:

Fullscreen_3_4_17__11_14_AM

That brings it back.

Cheers!

Thanks Raaj - I hate that damn thing floating around, especially on my laptop.

Thanks Raaj.  I usually minimise it.

Oh, this is great! I dislike that floating window. It's always in the way.
